Fun with friends!

Sunday, August 12th, 2012

Hey, I hope you’re lovin’ summer as much as I am.

I’ve been tearing it up with my pals, Bruno the Havanese & Elliott the corgi.  It’s a blast when I hang with my boys!

Good friends, good times, dawgs!  ~Rusty~

Sharing sweet treats!

Friday, July 20th, 2012

So the other day, another package came in the mail for me.  Actually, this one’s for me to share with my friends, including you!

Check out my awesome poodle-impulse control in this pic!  Mom stocked up on all of my fave, healthy treats.  Mostly from left to right, my Scooby snacks are:

Itty Bitty Buddy Biscuits (Veggie Madness flavor); Sweetie Pies; Healthy Dogma Barkers (peanut butter flavor); Grizzly Salmon NuTreats (smaller ones for cats/tiny dogs, too!) & Grizzly Salmon Fillets (for dogs & cats); Honest Kitchen’s Smooches, Pecks & Nuzzles; and Salmon Paws jerky (with & without broccoli).

I’m munching away & listening to my new favorite song, “Share It Maybe”.  Why?  ‘Cuz I’m a cookie monster, too, dawgs!    ~Rusty~

No shrinking violet here …..

Happy New Year, dawgs!  I’m gearing up some fabulous new posts for you.  In the meantime, I thought I’d share my twisted sense of humor with you via another Fido Film fest.

The first flick is solely responsible for the new nickname my humans gave me:  “Honey Badger”, or as my “dad” prefers to call me, “HB”, for short.  Seriously, someone needs to invent a poodle-sized t-shirt that says, “Don’t care”  or “Takes what he wants”.   The second video had me ROTFLMTO, dawgs.  Finally, humans being dogs.  Finally.

Kick back, grab some pupcorn & enjoy.  Poodle out!  ~Rusty~

(PS – If you’re a sensitive soul, don’t watch these videos.  And get your kiddos & puppies out of the room before you watch.  ‘Nuff said.  ~Your pal, Rusty~)

Good friends, good times!

Tuesday, August 9th, 2011

Whew!  I’m resting up after a month of sleep-overs with my best friends, Bruno & Elliott. Bruno’s a blast to play with — more on that in my next post.  But he does have one freaky little habit:  He barks @ any animal on TV.  I’m not kidding, dawgs.   Everything from pigs to cats to cartoons.  Check his act out.  Weird, right?!  ~Rusty~

Pittie sillies!

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

Hey, as a poodle, I understand breed stereotypes.

Little dogs are mocked, abused, & hauled around like human babies or accessories.  We’re dogs, not stuffed, wind-up toys.  So I feel for my misunderstood brothers-from-another-litter, the pitties.  They get a bad rap, too.  Dawgs, I’m groovin’ to this video.  In honor of their cause, I’m hanging upside down, too!

Aroooo!  ~Rusty~

A pup-lic service announcement

Thursday, July 14th, 2011

Let’s face it, dawgs.  We all poop.

And, we need our humans to pick up after us so we can keep going to fun places like parks & beaches.

Tell your people to pick up these bags so they can pick up your poop.

Dog Doogity!  ~Rusty~

Canine concerto

Monday, January 17th, 2011

Remember when I showed off my howling prowess? It’s a newly acquired skill for me.  I mostly only howl @ sirens if “mom’s” in the room.  I hear a siren, and I look @ her to see if we’re howling.  If she ignores the siren, I do, too.  If she smiles & howls, let the music begin!  It’s big fun, and I never annoy my humans because I ask permission.  (Poodle confession:  Twice, when I’ve been alone in a room, I howled softly @ a siren.  Who doesn’t hum a little tune when they’re alone, right?)  Having said that, now I can really appreciate a pro when I hear one!  Have you heard little Tucker, the miniature schnauzer/poodle, in concert?  Not only does he howl, he plays the piano!  No waiting around for sirens for that schnoodle!  Enjoy the musical stylings of Tucker…..  ~Rusty~

Poodle power nap

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

Ahh… Home sweet home! My humans are back from vacation, & I’m back from the rover resort.  I had a grrr-eat time there this time.  My new friend, Paula, said I was Mr. Social, playing with all the dogs.  I didn’t swim in the pool, though – still a little nervous about it.  I need more practice in my pool @ home.  So I’m napping on the couch and Ruth’s cooking bacon. (What an amazing smell!)

Did you know today is National Dog Day? In honor of that, here’s some previously unseen footage of Bruno & I playing pool-side.  We had a blast!  Now back to napping:  What better way to celebrate Dog Day than bacon-scented doggie dreams?   –Rusty
